Meet Captain Ron
A 37-year licensed charter boat captain, Ron enjoys fishing with his wife Shirley even when they are on vacation. Captain Ron has chartered thousands of fishing trips out on Lake Michigan for Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Brown Trout, Lake Trout, Chinook & Coho Salmon. The boat is a 1999 21ft SeaSwirl Striper and is inspected and licensed by the State of Michigan. It is also inspected for safety by the Michigan DNR.

Q: When using a fishing charter, do I need a fishing license?
A: Yes, Michigan law requires that anyone fishing in Michigan waters be licensed.
Q: Where can I purchase a Michigan Fishing License?

Q: Do I need to bring PPE?
A: Due to COVID-19 please remember to bring your own PPE.
Q: Where do we park?
A: Our boat is docked at Grand Isle Marina – Slip 28A. Parking is available at the marina. Please arrive 20-30 minutes before we are scheduled to leave the dock.
Q: Do you clean the fish?
A: Yes! We will clean and bag your catch once we return to the marina.
Q: Is your charter boat licensed?
A: Yes…fishing charter boats of six passengers or less are state inspected. All captains listed in the Michigan Charter Boat directory are U.S. Coast Guard licensed operators.
Q: Can I bring beer and/or wine?
A: Yes. Beer and wine are allowed. Please refrain from bringing any hard liquor.
